These are well done. I wonder though how much better RAW is than Jpeg with photoshop 7 tweaking?

Is it worth the cost and frustration of learning a new product for what benefit?

Dave: Thanks. For what it is worth, I think that learning Capture NX has been MUCH less frustrating than learning Photoshop. PS and PS Elements are fantastic programs and there is a world of instruction out there. But, that's the problen. There NEEDS to be tons of instruction. Capture NX does take time to learn a few things BUT, IMHO, you get comparatively instant results, good results, results that you will love seeing in your photos, as compared to fussing around in PS or PSE. I've used both PS and PSE for years. I'm no expert. But when I put a little time in to CNX, learned its idiosyncracies (and ALL programs have them), I was rewarded with photos I really like. Ones I print and hang up. That's why I took the time with CNX. It is very intuitive, once you get the hang of it. And the results speak for themselves. If you can get great compositions (which is all up to you, not the camera) then CNX lets you coax the very best out of the photos. Of course, this all applies to RAW and RAW vs JPG is a whole 'nother book of arguments. I shoot RAW, I use CNX. For me it works better than anything else I have tried.
